This is a 2.5-hour walking tour.

Welcome to Central District—the historic heart of Hong Kong, one of the world's four financial centres.

When the British first arrived in 1841, this area was quickly developed. Western-style buildings began to spring up, changing the landscape forever.

The Central Route we're walking today covers several historic buildings and sites. Some of those buildings are still here. How about others? Long gone—but we'll show you exactly where they once stood. Walkers are also provided with a better understanding of how this important area has grown and developed.

So as we walk, imagine old Hong Kong. Because this route lets you not just learn about the past, but also read the current.

*** Remarks: At the end of the tour, each person contributes to the guide an amount they consider fair based on their satisfaction. As a guideline, Guruwak recommends between HKD140 and HKD200 (EUR10-20) per participant.

I was born in Hong Kong. A licensed Tourist Guide and Tour Escort, also a Certified Docent of the HK Docent Association. Familiar with various Hong Kong Scenic Spots, Traditional festivals and events, Local food, etc. Previously was a Scout Trainer and possess the Hiking/Campcraft Certificates. Familiar with the docent of the Hong Kong Geopark, City Walk tour, and experienced as a tourist guide for hiking routes in Hong Kong. Before retirement, I was an MBA, CPA, Certified Management Accountant, and worked as Group Treasurer in various HK-listed companies.
