Enricoandfriends: Paris, Île de la Cité and Notre-Dame
Free walking tour starting at 10:00, in October 2026: Notre Dame Cathedral, Sainte Chapelle and more.
- 2 hours

Description
In this tour of the Île de la Cité, we will observe Paris with different eyes, delving into the history and origins of the City of Light. After meeting next to the statue of Charlemagne, in front of Notre-Dame, our walk through the beating heart of the city will begin. The Paris we know today is indeed very different from the one we are going to explore: the island, a small natural gem in the heart of the Seine, constitutes the oldest part of the urban center. We will start our journey by heading towards Place Louis Lépine, where we will focus on the most important buildings in the district, such as the Hôtel-Dieu and the Tribunal de Commerce. Just a few steps will then take us in front of the Sainte-Chapelle, a true architectural emblem of the radiant Gothic style. We will then discover the history of the oldest public clock in Paris on the towers of the Conciergerie and, after a pleasant stop among the colors and scents of the Marché aux Fleurs, we will continue walking along the Seine, making room for other anecdotes and curiosities. We will conclude our promenade where it all began, in front of the queen of Paris: the Notre-Dame Cathedral!
