Description
Walk through one of the largest urban rainforests in the world. Feel and breathe in the pure, fresh air among the plants and, with a bit of luck, discover birds and other wildlife.
We meet at the square in front of the entrance to Tijuca National Park - Praça Afonso Viseu (it's easiest to get there by Uber or taxi).
Once we pass through the main gate, we immerse in the dense forest and follow a path uphill to a viewpoint with a beautiful view of a waterfall and the mountain range ahead of us. We then continue our hike and can visit a small museum.
Keep your eyes and ears open, as this forest is full of life and captivates with its many small details! On another equally enchanting path, we gradually return to our starting point. Not without seeing historical or natural surprises!
Depending on time, desire, or mood, we can extend or shorten the tour.
Important tips:
- Wear sneakers or comfortable hiking shoes;
- Bring water to drink.
- Bring a small snack.
- Insect repellent is recommended.
- The temperature can drop in the forest. Therefore, bring a light jacket even on warm days.
- There is the possibility to go into a shallow river. Bring swimwear, a towel, and a change of clothes in warm weather.
