Walking Tour: Easter 1916, the Irish genocide, and Dublin from history to contemporary times. Dublin storytelling in Italian

Walking tour lasting 2.5 hours. Starting from the Spire on O'Connell Street, we will enter Dublin, a city of contrasts between history and modernity. At the GPO, we will open our view to the short Irish century, between the Easter Rising of 1916, the War of Independence, and the Civil War, exploring the contradictions between the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and their reflections on today's world. We will see some of the rebel outposts of the Rising (Four Courts, Liberty Hall, and City Hall), passing through Dublin's most famous neighborhoods, taking them beyond just a tourist narrative. We will venture into the ancient history of Ireland and Dublin, from the passage tombs of Newgrange to the Christian monks, delving into the chapter of the Great Famine of the 19th century and the genocide of the Irish people. And how can we not talk about music on a Dublin tour? With the children of the Troubles (Dolores O'Riordan, Shane MacGowan, and Sinead O'Connor), we will open our eyes to the bloody chapter that shook Northern Ireland and the Republic, before bidding farewell to the notes of the Second Irish Renaissance, Glen Hansard, the Amble, Foy Vance, and many other contemporary musicians.
