Free walking tours in Bukhara

We had the pleasure of joining a 4-hour walking tour with Gayrat and it was a truly wonderful experience. He is a passionate and knowledgeable guide who shared the beauty and history of his city with enthusiasm. Thanks to his stories and anecdotes, we discovered details we would have completely missed on our own. The time flew by as he perfectly balanced historical insights with glimpses into daily life. We would highly recommend a tour with him to anyone visiting the city!

Gayrat gave an amazing tour!! I had done some online research about the main sites in Bukhara before the tour but I learned so much more by spending a few hours walking the city with him. Gayrat shared the perfect amount of information at every site in a way that was both entertaining and super easy to understand. He was extremely knowledgeable and was kind enough to spend extra time answering our (many) questions about each site, Bukhara overall, and Uzbekistan in general. Thank you for an awesome overview of Bukhara!!

I really enjoyed my time on the tour. Alex's passion for the city shines through, and he picked a great mix of places that give you a real feel for it. It’s the kind of tour that helps you get familiar with the atmosphere, and then you can choose where to dive deeper on your own. I loved his anecdotes and background stories about each monument, and he’s open and easy to chat with.

Maks was a great guide around Bukhara. The tour is a complete introduction to the city landmarks and she gave us insights and details we wouldn’t have discovered by ourselves. Highly recommend choosing this guru for your visit.

We started our visit to Bukhara with Alex's guide tour and it was just the right choice! The route was nicely planned, with proper stops to rest and take some photos. Besides providing information we would expect, Alex had plenty of "local" funny jokes, knew the perfect spots for a nice photo and mentioned what else we should check besides the walking tour (hint: you would need about 3-5 more hours for those) Highly recommend his tour!

Alex has been a great guide to help us discover Bukhara ! He is very knowledgeable about the city, its history, and more generally about Uzbekistan and Central Asia. We had a chance to tour both the old town and key monuments outside of the old town, so the tour was very comprehensive.
