Ich bin selbst, Herr Subhash. Touristen nennen mich Sébastien. Ich führe seit 1990 Touristen aus aller Welt und führe sie sowohl durch die Stadt als auch durch die Wüste, da ich als Teenager zehn Jahre lang als Kameltreiber in der Wüste gearbeitet habe. Außerdem mache ich Yoga und bin von Beruf Hindupriester. Daher verfüge ich über umfassende Kenntnisse über die Geschichte Jaisalmers, Kunst und Schnitzerei, die Flora und Fauna der Wüste sowie die traditionelle Lebensweise der Wüstenbewohner. Da meine Familie aus einer hinduistischen Brahmanen-Priesterfamilie stammt, kann ich Ihnen bestes Wissen über die hinduistische Religion, die thailändischen Götter, Karma usw. vermitteln. Ich bin 48 Jahre alt und habe mir daher viel Wissen angeeignet, das ich nun gerne mit meinen ausländischen Touristen teilen möchte.
Wir können die Tour mit Subhash "Sebastian" auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. Er war pünktlich, freundlich, kennt sich sehr gut aus und hat uns in sehr gutem Englisch viel über das Fort und über die Stadt erzählt. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit mit ihm. Vielen Dank dafür!!
What I really loved about the tour with Sebastian was that he grew up in Jaisalmar and knows every corner. He provides information regarding how it used to be like living in Jaisalmer and how it is now. Of course he also knows all the history. It was fun going around with him on the motorbike, I fell like I really got to know the place
Excellent free walking tour of Jaisalmer Fort from Subhash, who has lived there all his life. Subhash is full of enthusiasm and knowledge, sharing insights and stories no regular guide would know. His kindness and sense of humour make this a great fun thing to do. Highly recommended.
Before starting the walk he asked us which places we are interested in and designed the walk accordingly. We definitely enjoyed our time. Subhash is born and raised in the city and loves this place from the bottom of his heart. And you can really feel that. Beside the guided tour we had some very good and deep conversations which made us understand the place, the culture and the religion a lot better. We really saw this place a little bit through his eyes. ❤️
