Hallo, ich bin Thyl (ausgesprochen „Teel“). Ich bin vor 5 Jahren in die Stadt Silves gezogen und liebe es! Ich bin Entdecker und Maler sowie Natur- und Geschichtsliebhaber. Es ist eine Freude, die Orte und Landschaften, die ich interessant finde, mit anderen zu teilen und lokales Wissen weiterzugeben. Vor ein paar Jahren habe ich begonnen, Touren mit kleinen Gruppen in der Umgebung zu führen (und zu fahren) (Jeep-Safaris in den Hügeln, Bootsfahrten auf dem Fluss und Wandertouren). Das Hauptinteresse galt der Natur, aber ich hatte immer gehofft, mich eines Tages auch auf die Kultur des Ortes, an dem ich lebe, zu konzentrieren. Zu Hause ist mein Bücherregal voller Geschichtsbücher und jetzt, nach der notwendigen Recherche, freue ich mich, Ihnen auf unterhaltsame und freundliche Weise die erstaunliche Stadt, in der ich lebe, vorzustellen.
Our tour of Silves was wonderful. Thyl gave us plenty of interesting information but didn't overwhelm us with too much. The route was comfortable and picturesque.
had the absolute pleasure of joining Thyl’s free walking tour of Silves, and it was one of the highlights of my trip. Thyl is incredibly knowledgeable and made a subject I was a complete novice in feel accessible and alive. His storytelling wove together facts and personal anecdotes that made me appreciate Silves and Portugal as a whole all the more. He was also kind enough to share thoughtful recommendations from scenic drives to a where we could find a good vegetarian meal. Highly, highly recommended
Had a lovely tour with Thyl today, on a more personal way than expected, which was great, as I felt I could ask lots of questions, which is what I typically wouldn't do if in a larger group. Thyl was knowledgeable about the tour, and it was lovely to see aspects of Silves that I haven't seen or noticed before :) Thank you Thyl!
