Hallo Abenteurer! Mein Name ist Kenya! Ich komme ursprünglich aus Indonesien, bin in Kenia geboren und habe ein ganzes Jahrzehnt in Marokko verbracht. Ich spreche fließend Englisch, Französisch und Indonesisch: Ich bin euer Sprachen-Ninja :). Als ich im Ausland aufwuchs, habe ich einen Pass voller Freundschaften und eine Liebe für die vielfältige Schönheit von Ländern und Kulturen gewonnen. Jetzt, zurück in Indonesien, habe ich das Leben in einem Backpacker-Hostel angenommen – ich treffe faszinierende Menschen aus allen Gesellschaftsschichten und tausche gerne Wissen aus. Teil dieser Hostel-Begegnungen zu sein, hat in mir den Wunsch geweckt, meine unglaubliche Stadt zu präsentieren. Menschen können Kulturen von Tausenden ethnischer Gruppen entdecken, Gerichte aus verschiedenen Ecken Indonesiens genießen und in seine einzigartigen Traditionen eintauchen. Einige Leute sagen vielleicht, dass neue Reisende „so schnell wie möglich aus Jakarta verschwinden“ sollen, aber ich bin hier, um ihnen das Gegenteil zu beweisen! Jakarta ist mein Spielplatz und ich möchte ihm seine lebhafte, pulsierende und ausgesprochen charmante Seite zeigen. I really enjoyed the tour with Kenya. Even though I was the only participant, she still went ahead with the tour. She adapted it very individually to my interests and knew a lot about Jakarta. It felt more like a good friend showing you around the city :). Highly recommended 😊
We had such an amazing time on the food tour in Jakarta with Kenya! She is a super fun, spontaneous and warm tour guide who immediately makes you feel comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious and we loved eating together with her while discovering so many local dishes. Kenya knows so much about Indonesian food, but also about the culture, the city and daily life in Jakarta. What we really loved is that the tour lasted longer than two hours for us – and honestly, we didn’t mind at all because it was such a fun and cozy evening with the whole group. Lots of laughs, great conversations and incredible food. If you’re in Jakarta and love food (or just a great vibe), this tour is 100% recommended. Don’t hesitate, just book it – you won’t regret it!
Had a great time with Kenya. She was very knowledgeable about street food, best locations, quality. She was fun and easy to talk to, we felt very comfortable asking her questions and just getting general info about Jakarta and Indonesia. Would definitely recommend you take this tour, you won’t be disappointed
