Hallo! Ich bin Rushdi, ein Südafrikaner der 5. Generation, der am Fuße des Tafelbergs geboren und aufgewachsen ist. Eltern, deren Vorfahren Sklaven waren, die während des Sklavenhandels aus dem Osten an das Kap gebracht wurden. Meine Vorfahren haben diese Stadt gebaut, die ich zu Hause nenne, und ich freue mich darauf, meine Erfahrungen mit dieser malerischen kleinen Ecke der Welt zu teilen. Heute bin ich ein stolzer Ehemann und Vater, die letzte Generation, die Apartheid erlebt hat, und die erste, die die bemerkenswerte Wende in Südafrika miterlebt hat. Leidenschaft für meine Kultur mit einem ausgeprägten Sinn für Abenteuer. Ich freue mich darauf, mein Kapstadt so zu teilen, wie es nur ein Einheimischer weiß. Exceptional tour with a phenomenal guide! The Guru Walk with Rushdi was our first of four tours in Cape Town and it set the tone for the trip. Rushdi took us to places that we didn't see again or hear about on any other tour. These places, buildings, and structures are pivotal in understanding the history of Cape Town -- how it was formed, the native people, who settled there, the journey of slaves once they arrived, how they were renamed, apartheid and so much more. As a local, Rushdi is well informed and an artful storyteller, shedding light on difficult topics with respect for all involved. My husband and I spent 14 days in different cities across South Africa and this was hands down the best tour of our trip. I highly recommend carving out time to spend with Rushdi on a Guru Walk in Cape Town!

By far the best walking tour I’ve been on…and I’ve been on a lot. Really allowed me to orientate myself in Capetown while learning lots about the areas rich culture and history. Rushdi was a warm and friendly person who I very much enjoyed spending my morning with. Would definitely do it again or any other tour he puts on!!
