Hello, I am Candelaria, I was born a traveller, it is in my genes, my first plane ride was at 9 days old. I first came to Morocco in 1987 as a young backpacker. It definitively made a huge impression on me, but I never imagined I would end up living here. Chaouen is my home since 2004. I will be delighted to show you around town, and hopefully you will understand why Chefchaouen is so special, way beyond its famous blue walls. I have learnt that people enjoy seeing Chaouen through my eyes, a foreigner very well adapted to a culture so different to my own. I speak Spanish, English, French, Italian, Arabic and Portuguese and have lived in many countries. I love good food, nature and hospitality, which are the reasons why I do this. I own a small guest house (Riad Jibli) which keeps me busy, my life is quite simple in this sweet town.
Candelaria offers a relaxed chilled walking tour. If hitting all the touristy spots at fast pace is your thing, then this may not suit you. Candelaria is respectful of the needs and wants of the walkers. She shares local tips from Shopping and massages, to good restaurants. Conversations flow easy with Candelaria. Thanks for a great day out Candelaria. It was a pleasure to meet you .
Our walk in Chefchaouen with Candelaria was a wonderful experience. From the start, she gave us a very warm welcome and made us feel like we were exploring the city with a local friend rather than a guide. She showed us the most beautiful spots and even invited us to her home for coffee, which made the experience truly special. She also kindly let us leave our bags with her until the evening — a huge help that allowed us to enjoy the city without stress. If you’re thinking about booking this walk, don’t hesitate. It’s a genuine, friendly, and unforgettable experience.
Very intresting tour of chefchouen and our guide still managed to make it good in the rain.
Excelente! Muy cálida, muy profesional, muy interesante todo lo que contó
We arrived early as instructed and messaged the guide the day before to confirm. Unfortunately, the guide did not show up or notify us. After we contacted her, she replied saying she had a family emergency and could meet up later. While we understand emergencies happen, better communication would have been appreciated
