Welcome to Chefchaouen! It will be my great pleasure to show you around the city that adopted me in 2004. I only take very small groups, max 5 people. Expect a quality, personalized tour. This will be a tour at your own pace. I want you to have a great time while in Chaouen. The essence of my tour is for you to enjoy your time and get a feel for what Chaouen is all about, focusing on non-touristic life. We will meet at Pizzeria Mandala, under the Parador Hotel, and show you the main square, its mosque and kasbah. Then we will go deeper into small alleys and markets. We will pass by the river, washing stations and we will see the town spring that supplies the entire city with crystal clear water throughout the year. History, nature, cuisine, I can show you the best local places, the best crafts and food. I will not take you shopping unless you ask, in which case I will show you local artisans and teach you about different qualities and prices. I also have a business trading Moroccan crafts in Scandinavia, so I know how to shop. I love hiking and I can point you to wonderful places to hike, or recommend very good mountain guides. I can tell you where the good hammams are or just how to enjoy your day.

Hello, I am Candelaria, I was born a traveller, it is in my genes, my first plane ride was at 9 days old. I first came to Morocco in 1987 as a young backpacker. It definitively made a huge impression on me, but I never imagined I would end up living here. Chaouen is my home since 2004. I will be delighted to show you around town, and hopefully you will understand why Chefchaouen is so special, way beyond its famous blue walls. I have learnt that people enjoy seeing Chaouen through my eyes, a foreigner very well adapted to a culture so different to my own. I speak Spanish, English, French, Italian, Arabic and Portuguese and have lived in many countries. I love good food, nature and hospitality, which are the reasons why I do this. I own a small guest house (Riad Jibli) which keeps me busy, my life is quite simple in this sweet town.
