Bernard was a great guide, weaving in his personal background to the recent history of Singapore. Remarkable the changes that have occurred in the country over the last 40-50 years. He showed us some interesting places and gave useful recommendations, and combined serious history with a light-hearted and humorous style (if occasionally a bit hammy).
