Chengdu Food Tour

Haoqi was a brilliant tour guide and we had so many conversations about living in Chengdu. Our walk through the fresh food market was the highlight, so many sights, sounds and smells!

We visit a market and she explained many things about different type of food. We ate and also went to a temple!! Perfect to visit the more local part of Chengdu. Super recommended!

Highly recommended event and a welcoming host. We visited a local food market. Everybody had the opportunity to try something delicious and new. We ended the tour at a wonderful taoist temple.

Haoqi was very friendly. She guided us through the local market explaining us everything and answering all our questions. She gave us a lot of information regarding what we were seeing and tasting. Definitely recommend!

Haoqi is super nice and friendly :) I enjoyed our tour and seeing a popular market with lots of interesting food. I also really enjoyed the second portion where she took us to a Taoist temple, explained how to pray, and also about each god symbolized. I would have liked to have a little bit more of a historical background for the food street and Chengdu in general, but all in all I had a good time and I am happy I did a tour with Haoqi :)

We joined the tour and loved the experience! Not too much walking and you get to see an authentic market and taoist temple. Haoqi is also a great guide, who shared a lot of local insights. Would recommend!

Haoqi is very professional, knowledgeable and fun. She took us on a tour around the market explaining to us how people make and eat some of the local dishes or food and took us around the temple to learn more about the Taoist philosophy. I really enjoyed the tour and would definitely recommend it - I just wish I had more space for the food!

Recommended for foodies ! We had lots of fun with Haoqi exploring the food market, trying new flavors and buying some more to bring home, and also stopping for a spot of breakfast ! We then continued to visit the Taoist temple, where we had the opportunity of learning more about the philosophy and let ourselves absorb the peace of the surroundings. Many thanks to Haoqi for showing us the various elements of Szechuanese markets and savors.

Eileen is such a friendly and kind guide. It felt more like I was going out for food with a friend, because she was engaging in our conversations. We went to a local food market and it was nice to have someone explain everything. I would have been lost by myself.

Great tour with Iris!

Had a great food tour with Haoqui through the local market! We stopped at many stands where she explained what we could get at each one. The enjoyable walk and delicious food continued, and we also visited a temple. This was a wonderful addition to the tour, as it was so nice to have a local guide explain the significance of what we were seeing :)

Really enjoyed both parts of this tour! (The food maybe a little more, it was delicious!) Hoaqi was great, really personable and knowledgeable. Would recommend you do it. Don't eat before hand.

Haoqi is a superb guide - she's super knowledgeable, a true foodie and a great narrator. It's been pleasure to listen to her stories and fun remarks. We tried various Sichuan dishes together, interacted with locals and even learnt how to pray correctly in Daoism. Haoqi also recommended us a couple of nice restaurants to enjoy even more yummy stuff. No boring routes, no touristic mainstream locations - highly recommend ❤️

This was such a nice and chill tour!! Loved walking around the market trying new things and chatting with Haoki. She gave me lots of recommendations and was super helpful answering all of my questions. The Palace we saw afterwars was really interesting as well!
