Chengdu Food Tour

Il tour con Haoqi per noi è stato proprio speciale: per la prima volta durante un guruwalk abbiamo pranzato insieme con piatti locali e fatto altre esperienze! Il tour è iniziato in un mercato alimentare in cui Haoqi ci ha presentato i piatti tipici e i banchetti più interessanti e curiosi. Abbiamo poi pranzato insieme ed è stato bello continuare a ricevere informazioni sulla cultura e storia cinese intorno al tavolo! Dopo ci ha fatto scegliere se visitare un tempio Taoista vicino o partecipare, con un costo aggiuntivo e non destinato a lei, ad una cerimonia del tè e ad un piccolo laboratorio di scrittura: abbiamo scelto la seconda opzione. Ci ha fornito quindi curiosità interessanti sulla famosa cerimonia del tè e sull’arte della scrittura cinese, aiutata dalla proprietaria elegantissima della sala da tè. Ci siamo anche spostati insieme in bicicletta! Grazie Haoqi!

Jooaan ha sido una de las mayores sorpresas de todo mi viaje a China. La verdad es que me enseñó Chendú por la noche en un Tour personalizado, recorriendo por bicicleta y andando por la parte nocturna de Chendú y la verdad es que todo fue impresionante una calidad de la explicación y la personalización del Tour brillantes. Haoqi was an incredible guide. He treated us so well throughout the tour and introduced us to the different flavors that make Chengdu so special. He also taught us some Chinese calligraphy, and we got to take home a beautiful phrase as a lovely souvenir. We would definitely do it again. 10 out of 10!

My second tour with Haoqi. The tea ceremony and calligraphy experience were fun and interesting. I haven't practiced calligraphy for a long time. I had fun tasting different food and socializing with the other visitors. I recommend this tour! Chris

My tour with Chang was amazing! It felt truly authentic, and the calm pace of the tour really captured the local vibe. We started with a kung fu tea ceremony and tried white tea—it was delicious! The tea master was so welcoming and kind. I also had a calligraphy lesson, which was definitely the best part of the experience for me. We visited a local wet market, where I tried duck—and it was the best duck I’ve ever had! Chang was such a great guide. It honestly felt like I was exploring the city with a friend rather than being on a typical tour. I highly recommend this tour!

Highly recommend this tour! It’s such a great experience. My guide took me to hidden‑gem night markets with tons of delicious food. The Twin Towers and Bamboo Fountain look so futuristic at night.

Hicimos el free tour gastronómico en Chengdu y la verdad es que superó lo que esperábamos. Una experiencia súper local aprendiendo sobre los ingredientes que luego probamos en la comida típica de la ciudad. Se notaba que era el día a día real de la gente. Nos encantó la parte de té y caligrafía. Nuestra guía, un crack👍. Si vais a Chengdu, os lo recomiendo sin duda.

Highly recommend this tour! It’s relaxed and laid‑back with no crowds at all. We got to see stunning night views right from the start, followed by plenty of delicious local food. Even though it was raining today, Yuan was so kind to lend me an umbrella and shared lots of history about the city. I would never have discovered so many wonderful spots without her as my guide. Absolutely recommended!

We had a wonderful private tour with Haoqi. It was like meeting with a friend and strolling through the market. Haoqi answered all our questions und showed us different local snacks and food. 100% would recommend. I think this is the best way to explore Chengdu and get to know a little about the local life.

We had such a lovely food tour in Chengdu with Haoqii! She took us to a local market and explained what to try, how people eat different things, and shared lots of interesting little details about the food and culture. I really believe that one of the best ways to start understanding a culture is through its food, and this tour was a perfect example of that. I especially loved all the tips she gave us about Chinese medicine and food. I’m currently trying to make my diet a bit healthier, so this part was really interesting and useful for me. We also did a Chinese tea tasting and even tried some calligraphy, which made the experience feel much more complete than just a food tour. Haoqii was super friendly and made everything very easy and enjoyable. Definitely a great way to discover Chengdu beyond the usual tourist spots. Would absolutely recommend!!

Chang was a wonderful guide. She has a sweet and calming spirit and felt like I was walking with a friend. Loved getting to know more about Taoism and life in Chengdu. Her English is also very good and easy to understand. Would definitely recommend this tour to others.

The tour has been amazing and it offers what it promises, a cultural immersion in Chengdu food culture. As second stop we choose tea ceremony and calligraphy, and that was amazing too. Haoqi is super nice, friendly, helpful and ready to answer all the questions.

Haoqi was a great tour guide and introduced us to a lot of great local dishes. We walked through a nice local food market und tried some delicious snacks and headed to another place for a traditional tea ceremony and Chinese calligraphy. The second place was really grounding and also the women who did the tea ceremony was really nice. Besides the great tour Haoqi also really saved my ass a few days later when I left my phone in the Didi. She was so supportive and helped me to get it back eventually!! Thank you, Haoqi!!

The tour was really interesting! We visited a local market, where Haoqi explained to us about the food the sellers had and some interesting curiosities about many of the ingredients and products we saw. We also visited a temple. I highly recommend to do the tour with her.

I really enjoyed this tour in Chengdu. The information was very interesting, and I learned a lot about the daily life in China. The activities were well organized and enjoyable. Our guide spoke excellent English, answered all of our questions, and was very friendly throughout the tour. I highly recommend this experience!
