Tour description

✨ Join us on a tour of the Historic Center of Mexico City 🇲🇽, a place where the past and present coexist on every corner.

We will start in front of the Metropolitan Cathedral, the largest in Latin America, a blend of architectural styles that holds centuries of history. Very close by is the National Palace where you will learn a bit about Mexican identity. Then, we will move towards the Templo Mayor, the remains of the great Tenochtitlán, where you will be amazed by the ancient city built by the Aztecs.
Next, we will arrive at the Plaza de Santo Domingo, a colonial square famous for its tradition of printers. On one side stands the Temple of Santo Domingo, a jewel of the New Spanish Baroque, and in front of it is the House of the Inquisition, the current headquarters of the Ministry of Public Education, which houses three floors decorated with murals by Diego Rivera and his students.

We will continue to the National Museum of Art, which has one of the most important collections of Mexican art from the 19th and 20th centuries. Among lively streets, we will be surprised by the Postal Palace, with its golden interior and marble staircases, followed by the House of Tiles, unmistakable for its Talavera-covered facade and its history as a symbol of New Spanish high society. Finally, our tour will culminate at the Palace of Fine Arts, a city landmark that captivates with its multicolored dome and its role as the premier stage for culture in Mexico.

Let yourself be carried away by the opportunity to discover the most emblematic and history-filled corners of the Historic Center through a local perspective: stories, anecdotes, and details that will make your visit a memorable experience.👣

1

Metropolitan Cathedral of Mexico City
The largest church in Latin America. Beyond its religious importance, the cathedral faces a unique phenomenon: the gradual sinking of the ground on which it was built, a living reminder of the complex relationship between the city and the former Lake of Tenochtitlan.
2
Outside visit
Palacio Nacional
A majestic building known for Diego Rivera’s breathtaking murals, it also houses the President’s office and official residence. The palace is the heart of Mexico’s biggest civic celebration: the iconic Grito de Independencia, a powerful symbol of national unity and pride.
3
Outside visit
Museo del Templo Mayor
An impressive site that preserves the remains of ancient Tenochtitlan and offers a window into the worldview of pre-Hispanic Mexico. An essential stop for anyone seeking to understand the roots and cultural strength of the country.
