Tour description

Discover a hidden world of palaces, elegance and intriguing stories with our passionate local guides. We will journey in time from the moment that Romania became a Monarchy to the dark times of communism and the bloody revolution.

The monarchy shaped Bucharest in a unique way compared to any other city in Romania and today’s urban vibes are bringing it back to life. The “belle epoque” period is the most fascinating of all, bringing impressive architecture that should not be missed during your stay in Bucharest.

Join us to discover the best of Bucharest with our free tour ‘From Monarchy to Communism’!

On the tour, we cover the most important sights and attractions such as

  • Victory Avenue
  • Palace of the National Military Circle

Julian (Alex) was really friendly and he showed us a different side of Bucharest apart from the touristic area. He provided very interesting info and he kept going despite being a very small group and the rain which was really appreciated since I only had a couple of hours to explore Bucharest - thanks!!!

Never knew there was so much complicated history of Bucharest and Romania as a whole! It was pouring down with rain but Julian was great and managed to keep the momentum going throughout. Great tour! Thank you.
