About the tour

It is one of the most famous routes for endurance cycling in the Cordillera Blanca, the starting point is the city of Huaraz and then gradually ascend the road leading east (Churup lagoon route), on the way we pass by 2 rural villages (Unchus and Llupa), after traveling approx. one hour, the road turns uphill in curves; which will take approximately 1 and a half hours to the cover of Quebrada Cojup (3900 masl) which is the highest point of our route. Here we eat some cereals, chocolates and rehydrate, and then descend the road that leads to the ruins of Willcahuain (archaeological site Wari), on the way we can enjoy a very Andean landscape, with small villages, grassland fields and shepherds grazing Her flocks Already in Willcahuain, we can take the option of visiting the archaeological site or if we do not continue descending to the city of Huaraz.
