About the tour

It is one of the most famous routes for endurance cycling in the Cordillera Blanca, the starting point is the city of Huaraz and then gradually ascend the road leading east (Churup lagoon route), on the way we pass by 2 rural villages (Unchus and Llupa), after traveling approx. one hour, the road turns uphill in curves; which will take approximately 1 and a half hours to the cover of Quebrada Cojup (3900 masl) which is the highest point of our route. Here we eat some cereals, chocolates and rehydrate, and then descend the road that leads to the ruins of Willcahuain (archaeological site Wari), on the way we can enjoy a very Andean landscape, with small villages, grassland fields and shepherds grazing Her flocks Already in Willcahuain, we can take the option of visiting the archaeological site or if we do not continue descending to the city of Huaraz. What's the price?

A guruwalk is a pay-what-you want walking tour, which means, it's completely free to book and join the group, but the 'guru' expects to be rewarded once the tour ends. Some people give 5, some people give 50, you choose the price.

Reservations in advance are mandatory because if the 'guru' doesn't see any bookings one day, she will not show up at the meeting point. Or if she has too many 'walkers' that day, won't allow you to join without the reservation. Booking is completely free, fast and easy. Book your guruwalk now!
