Tour description
Oviedo is the economic, political and religious capital of the Principality of Asturias , with just 220,000 inhabitants it has great secrets and curiosities to discover, from its foundation in the 8th century to the present day.
A city described by Leopoldo Alas "Clarín" in "La Regenta" or by Ramón Pérez de Ayala in "Tigre Juan." Furthermore, it saw the birth of numerous personalities in politics, music, sports, literature, and more. Oviedo, despite its beauty and elegance, is a city not suitable for those with a sweet tooth , with numerous bakeries and sweets that complement the excellent Asturian cuisine. Every October , the city becomes the focus of the news as it is both a judge and a participant in the highly acclaimed Princess of Asturias Awards .
