I´m a Dutch guy who arrived to Palma in 1994 and since then the city stole my heart! I have studied Tourism at the University of the Balearic Islands and I have got the official accreditation of the local government to be tourist guide in Spanish, English, German and Dutch. My purpose is to reveal some unknown details of the history of Palma and show you interesting spots, buildings, architecture and even ancient stories related to the history of Palma. I will also highlight aspects of the Majorcan culture and dates of interests related to gastronomy, transport and other interesting spots on the island

About the Tour

Together we will conquer Palma again following the same trace of king James I when he entered in the city on 31 December 1229. Starting at the Plaza España, we will cross the city in order to show you the remains of the Roman and Arab culture, but especially the Christian settlements. We will walk through the narrow streets which in the past belonged to the Jewish Quarter and we will finish this tour in front of the majestic cathedral

Meeting point: Open in Google Maps

How to find me: At the Plaza España, in front of the statue of James I, I wear an orange shirt (Holland)

It was a great tour, but I expected (and experienced on other walking tours) more about daily life things like what to eat, where to eat, what to drink, where to party, where to swim etc. Other than that it was perfect with his humble personality and expertise on the history.

A great tour - we did this the first day upon reaching Palma and it really gave us a wonderful introduction to the city. Wibo has amazing knowledge of the city, it's history, and has some fun stories to enrich your understanding of and knowledge of Palma!
