👋Welcome to Sarajevo !
Dear traveler,
We are delighted you arrived! Every trip must begin with a single step, therefore start off with the greatest Free walking tour in Sarajevo.
Embark on a journey to explore the captivating city of Sarajevo through our best free walking tour. Our professional and experienced guides, who are true locals, will take you through the centuries-old streets of Sarajevo and showcase the religious heritage and elaborate architecture that makes the city so unique. Our walking tour offers a deeper understanding of the city's history and culture and how it's shaped by three religions. You'll get to see Sarajevo through the eyes of its people and hear the sounds of the city, such as the church bells, the Muslim call to prayer, and the din of the coppersmiths crafting their pots, pans, and coffee sets.
We will begin our journey at the Sarajevo City Hall, which is the most extravagant example of the Austro-Hungarian part of Sarajevo's elaborate buildings. From there, we will head to the heart of old town Sarajevo, Bascarsija Square, where you will discover the oriental charm of the cobbled streets and the Ottoman quarter.
We will then visit the Jewish quarter, mosques, and churches in an attempt to understand better the multi-confessional essence of Sarajevo. We will start with The Old Orthodox Church, followed by a visit to Gazi Husrev-bey Mosque, and then the Jewish quarter. We'll later visit the Cathedral of Jesus' Sacred Heart, which is just 100 square meters away from the previous religious landmarks, showcasing the city's uniqueness.
We'll explore the Latin bridge, next to which the Austrian archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated, leading to the start of World War I.
The tour lasts for 1.5-2 hours, and at the end, our guides will provide recommendations for the best food and beverage options, locations, and activities to see in the area. We'll also share information on where to find vegan, vegetarian, or gluten-free food options in the area. If you're interested in nightlife, our guides will recommend the best places to go.
Don't forget to ask questions or provide suggestions, as our guides are always happy to help.
