"Choose a job that you like and you will not have to work a day of your life" Confucius. Madrilenian by birth and traveler by vocation. My passion is traveling and this has also led me to live in Munich for a few years, which has allowed me to grow in many ways. It was in this city, where by chance I started working as a tour guide, a profession that allows me to combine two fields that I am passionate about, tourism and communication. I have always been linked to the world of tourism, which has allowed me to accumulate experience in different sectors and jobs. Ambitious in character, always looking for new projects to go a little further and constantly reinvent myself. This led me in 2019 to create my own tour company in Madrid and Munich called Todo Tours. With my feet on the ground and my eyes on a plane on my way to a new destination, I am always ready to undertake a new project, discover something new and learn as much as possible.
Do you want to discover Munich with the best guides in the city? If the answer is yes, keep reading.
The capital of Bavaria is usually known for its beer tradition and traditional costumes , but there is much more and we will tell you about it on this two-hour walking tour.
We start at the foot of the statue of Mary in Marienplatz , one of the most beautiful squares in the city and we will talk about its two jewels; the New and the Old Town Hall. But without a doubt the best comes at 11 am , since we will attend a very special wedding that will take place in the city's famous carillon.
After a short walk we will arrive at Frauenkirche , Munich's cathedral . We will contemplate the majestic façade of this church and talk about its direct relationship with the devil, since a very curious legend hangs over this church.
From there we will go to Odeonsplatz and the nearby Viscardigasse to give you a background on one of the most complicated historical eras in Germany, Nazism. In these places we will talk a little about the origins of this political party.
Our next destination will be Max Joseph Platz to see the former residence of the Kings of Bavaria and also talk about the National Theater and State Opera , where the famous Bavarian State Orchestra performs.
To finish our free tour of Munich as it deserves, we will dedicate the last part of the route to explaining the importance of beer in the city and revealing the origins of the most famous beer festival in the world: the Oktoberfest.
In this strategic place we will give you some tips to continue getting the most out of Munich and we will end our tour of the capital of Bavaria.
We wait for you!
Meet me under the statue of Mary in the middle of Marienplatz. The guide will be waiting for you with a blue Todo Tours umbrella. CHRISTMAS: If your reservation is between November 28 and December 24, we will meet at the Church of St. Peter (Alter Peter), very close to Marienplatz.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
