It's part of its essence, and the maritime influence has been reflected in its history , architecture, and legends of corsairs, pirates, and sailors for centuries. Would you like to discover them?

We'll talk about the city's different seafaring neighborhoods , the activities of the corsairs, and learn about some of the most illustrious and their stories. Our captain , Antonio Barceló, is arguably the most important navigator in the history of Mallorca. A corsair in his early days , he eventually became captain general of the Spanish Navy.
Of course, you'll also discover curious stories about the merchants and their iconic landmark, the Lonja de Mallorca, built by Guillem Sagrera.
We can't forget the fishermen. The most humble but absolutely transcendental activity in the maritime history not only of Palma but also of all of Mallorca.
