Join the YouTube team Real Prague Guides aka 100 Spires City Tours for a free tour you will never forget (unless you drink too much beer after the tour🍻). We are a team of certified local tour guides who know how to make Prague's history more exciting than a rollercoaster ride at an amusement park. (Yes you heard it right! Fun and educational!) Most of us grew up in this city and know it like a back of our hand. So you definitely won’t get lost with us! Unlike other foreign-owned free tours in Prague, where guides have to pay high pay-ins just so their bosses can have a good time, we are friends and partners who share our finances to cover the costs of running the free tour in Prague. Finally: all of our tours are free tours, we won’t be selling you anything on the way 😎! So come and join us and let’s have fun together exploring Prague!

Tour description

Explore Prague Castle and Castle District without missing out on its biggest highlights: The Big Change of Prague Castle Guards at 12 PM or Golden Lane.

The tours cover exactly the same sites otherwise.

This Free Prague Castle tour concentrates fully on the area of Prague Castle and Castle District and is for everyone who wants to explore Prague Castle comfortably and learn about its history (and have fun of course)

We will start the tour from Malostranska metro station, which is located right below Prague Castle. We'll take a tram to our first stop, the statue of Tycho Brahe and Johannes Kepler, and will walk from there (downhill :), trust us, you don't want to walk the hill up)

Castle District is a small area adjacent to Prague Castle. The most beautiful architecture in this city you can find here. Since the most influential aristocratic families lived here. After about 15-20 mins. walk, we will reach Prague Castle Giant's Gate, where we will let you enjoy the main change on Prague Castle Guards at 12 PM. (there is a smaller change of guards every hour, this is the only ceremonial one which is accompanied by music).

After this we will enter Prague Castle and will explore its main sights

Nico was a great guide through Prague Castle and the Castle District. He is very knowledgeable, and has a passion when he talks. This is the first free walking tour I have taken where I didn't check my watch to see how long was left. He was that interesting! Thank you, Nico!!
