Free Tour through the Heart of Palma

 What are we going to see?

We will start our tour at the Parque del Mar, at the foot of the Cathedral of Mallorca, where the sea, light, and stone welcome travelers.

From there, we will head to La Lonja, a symbol of maritime trade. We will talk about Palma's openness to the Mediterranean, the merchants, and the trade routes that marked the prosperity and direction of the city.

We will continue through the gardens of s’Hort del Rei, a place that invites us to look into the past: the Roman city, the Muslim legacy, and the transformation after the conquest by Jaume I, and we will continue skirting the Royal Palace of La Almudaina, an image of the power and strategy of the Kings of Mallorca.

We will ascend to the Cathedral, the spiritual heart of the city, where we will talk about faith, art, and symbolism, and we will circle around to the viewpoint of the walls to understand the importance of defense and see Palma from another perspective: a city open to the sea, but also protected.

Afterwards, we will enter the old town to discover the Mallorcan patios, tranquil spaces that speak of daily life, nobility, and the Mediterranean essence.

We will arrive at the Plaza de Cort with the Town Hall building at the city center, where the ancient olive tree connects us with Mallorcan history and identity.

And we will descend to the San Nicolás area, where current life, local commerce, and art galleries blend with history.

We will end at the Paseo del Borne, a symbol of today's Palma: lively, elegant, and open to the world.
