Tour description

This is not just an ordinary tour, it's special in that it also contains interesting stories about the foods you will try, we will also take you on a food tour from north to south and from south to north, from Vietnamese appetizers, main dishes and desserts, you will understand more about the culture of Hanoians in particular and Vietnamese people in general, if you are looking for a food tour that looks as luxurious as eating in a 5-star hotel, then it is probably not suitable for you. And not only food tour, but we also take you to discover hidden alleys of Hanoi at night, interesting with tiny house, and i bet you have not heard the sentence, Hanoi is probably the most beautiful at night.

Discovering Hanoi’s Old Quarter street foods can be a leap of faith without a guide to steer you to the must-eats and prevent you getting lost. With this small-group tour, you’ll visit tried-and-trusted food spots to sample classics, such as Banh bao, Grilled oysters ,Mix noodle salad ,crispy pancake, fried spring roll, egg coffee and more, all with a guide to describe each dish and help you navigate.

When in Hanoi, exploring the city's street food scene is a must-do activity. Here are some of the most delicious dishes to try:

  1. Vietnamese grilled rice paper is a super popular Vietnamese street pizza, easily cooked at home with any toppings you have on hand.
  2. Grilled Oysters (Hau nuong): Fresh oysters grilled with spring onions, peanuts, and garlic, served with a tangy dipping sauce.
  3. Considered a food paradise, Vietnam has lots of mouth-watering specialties to offer to tourists, and banh cuon (Vietnamese steamed rice roll) is one of them. It is often served as a dish for breakfast. Make sure that you don’t miss this dish during your Vietnam travel or you will definitely regret it.
  4. Mix Noodle Salad (Bun bo tron Nam Bo): Bun bo nam bo is a traditional Vietnamese dish. The name holds a key to its basic ingredients and the location – bun means noodle, bo is for beef, and nam bo refers to the South of the country
  5. Vietnamese Pancakes (Banh xeo): A crispy and savory pancake made with rice flour, turmeric, coconut milk, shrimp, pork, and bean sprouts, served with lettuce and herbs.
  6. Desserts: Cool down with some traditional Vietnamese sweets like Che, a sweet and creamy dessert soup made with coconut milk, beans, and fruits, or Vietnamese Egg Coffee, a rich and frothy coffee topped with whipped egg yolk and condensed milk.

Hanoi's street food scene is a must-try for anyone visiting the city. Make sure to explore the small alleyways and hidden street stalls to find the best dishes, and don't be afraid to try something new!

We haven't actually go to the train street and the itinerary differed a little but the tour was very enjoyable. Minh was extremely informative and I learned a lot of things about the food, the city, and the Vietnamese culture. For the food itself we spent just above 100k per person so it was very affordable even for a budget traveler like me. Overall would recommend

Amazing tour! Sara is really great, she takes you to a lot of local places with delicious food. In addition, she also is very open about Vietname's culture and you can ask her anything. It was not only an amazing food tour but also a trip through vietname's traditions.

Had a lovely tour with Huyên, she was really friendly and chatty and told me lots about life in Hanoi and Vietnam. It was just me on the tour and she personalised it nicely. We didn’t have the exact foods listed and we didn’t go to train street but apart from that it was great!
