Lima Street Food Tour Anthropological Perspective
Description
* PLEASE READ ALL OUR DESCRIPTION ;)
🏳️🌈🍉 This is not just a food tour, it's anthropology in motion.
Not just a mainstream tasting show, but a social journey beyond the Netflix version of Peru.
Authentic, immersive, and accessible. Far from the fine-dining world of Central or Maido.
We'll walk through streets and markets that may be crowded and noisy, yet deeply authentic. We will get to know the Central Market of Lima and it's surroundings, China Town, Mesa Redonda and the entrance to Barrios Altos in the non-tourist are of this historical center of Lima.
We will try a wide variety of delicious Peruvian dishes including tasty bites, local markets, and hole-in-the-wall spots, all carefully selected by local food experts. And you know what? You will directly support local vendors, learn about its history and culture while immersing yourself into the real Peru.
✨ IMPORTANT INFORMATION ✨
At the beginning of the tour, the guide will ask for 120 soles per person. This contribution covers all food, drinks, and logistics required for the full experience. At the end of the tour, if you feel like it, tipping your guide is greatly appreciated.
Based on our experience and guest feedback, this system helps streamline payments at each food stop, improves safety in crowded areas, and makes the overall experience smoother and more efficient for everyone.
This is a collective gastronomic ritual, so it is only possible to join if you are going to be part of the food experience.
NO tourist traps.
No rush. No checklist tourism.
✨ If you are not going to attend the tour, please cancel your booking as soon as possible.
Thank you! 😃
"Travel isn’t always pretty. It isn’t always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts, it even breaks your heart. But that’s okay. The journey changes you; it should change you. It leaves marks on your memory, on your consciousness, on your heart, and on your body. You take something with you. Hopefully, you leave something good behind.”
