As you explore key historical areas like the Old Town and the elegant Victory Avenue (Calea Victoriei), you’ll also discover hidden gems tucked away from the main tourist paths. Along the way, you’ll learn how Romania’s complex past has shaped Bucharest into the city it is today. We’ll delve into themes such as Ottoman and European influences, the monarchy, the Communist era, and post-1989 Romania, while also touching on local culture and distinctive architecture.

This tour is hosted by two local guides, both born and raised in Bucharest: Andreea, a historian with a master’s thesis on the city’s history and a licensed guide, and Andrei, an experienced licensed guide passionate about storytelling and local culture. Your tour will be led by one of us, who will also offer authentic local tips and personal recommendations so you can experience Bucharest like a true local.
