We consider it very important to acquire knowledge and stay constantly updated on new studies of the culture of my ancestors in Peru. This way, I can share a great deal with you when telling you about the history, along with the archaeological sites scattered throughout the beautiful city of Cusco. These sites are inaccessible by car and can only be explored in greater depth by taking a walking tour, which is not tiring but rather quite entertaining and full of new theories that help you understand the mythical Inca civilization. Of course, the tour is a lot of fun because I consider myself very sociable, especially when I meet people from other countries. I can learn a great deal from them and thus not only be a professional guide but also build friendships.
Our tour begins in Cusco's main square (Plaza de Armas). We'll walk around, explaining some of the infrastructure and commemorative plaques whose existence and significance many people don't realize. For example, there's a tomb in the Plaza de Armas that many travelers miss, or if they do, they don't know who it belongs to, what it's for, or why it's there. Like this detail, there are many streets with curious names, as well as a lot of Inca infrastructure lying beneath colonial buildings. These and many other details are part of the explanation, which I'll provide to help you understand the reasons behind everything.
We continue our tour, entering and visiting more archaeological sites, such as the famous twelve-angled stone in the palace of the third Inca ruler (Lloque Yupanqui). We then proceed through many famous streets before entering the renowned San Blas neighborhood, where we'll find abundant colonial-style decor and excellent views of Cusco. From here, you'll find narrow streets dating back to the Inca and colonial eras, all with detailed explanations and excellent photo opportunities. Continuing our tour, we reach San Cristóbal , where we'll find the best panoramic view of Cusco, along with explanations and photo opportunities. Finally, we return to Cusco's Plaza de Armas, where the tour began, and conclude with a complimentary pisco sour toast.
The tour will last approximately 2 to 2.5 hours, filled with positive energy and professional explanations.
