Diwali - Festival of Lights - is the biggest Indian Festival.

Every year in the months of October & November, the celebrations for Diwali happen in India. If you're in India around this time, do not miss this Experience where you get a rare chance to participate in the Festivities.

For the year 2026, this Experience shall be available to book only from 31st October 2026 to 15th November 2026.

The Experience is planned, in chronological order, as below -

1. You shall be given a traditional welcome at our home with teeka, maala & kalava.

2. Detailed information on Diwali shall be explained, including the why, how, when and what of Diwali.

3. Enjoy some delicacies prepared for the Festival.

4. Take a tour of the entire home beautifully decorated for the Diwali Festive Season.

5. Make a Rangoli (artwork on floor using coloured sand, flowers and lamps).

6. Participate in a Diwali prayer and light candles & lamps.

7. Indulge yourself in a delicious meal (including a Dessert).

8. Enjoy some fireworks which are an essential part of the Diwali celebrations.

9. Participate in an informal music & dance sequence at our home.

You shall have free access to super fast wi-fi at our home.

We use filtered water in our cooking and serve unlimited bottled mineral water to the Guests during the Experience.

Free tours don't have a fixed price. At the end, each person contributes to the guide the amount they consider fair based on their satisfaction. As a guideline, Guruwalk recommends between €15 and $50 per participant.
