I had a fantastic time on this food tour with Pooi Ling! She was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the local food and culture, and I loved learning so much while visiting some of the best spots and trying a huge variety of delicious things. I was a little unlucky as some places were closed that day, but we still got to try so many different indian foods, and it was a great experience overall. Pooi Ling was also super kind and helpful, sharing lots of useful tips and recommendations for other places to eat (a part from indian) and things to do in Penang. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to discover the local food scene and learn more about the culture from someone who really knows her stuff!

Ms. Pooi Ling is an absolute gem of a local guide, and The Spice & Street Food Walk of George Town with her is an unforgettable experience!
Her depth of knowledge regarding Penang’s rich multicultural history and culinary traditions is remarkable. Walking through Little India alongside her feels like unlocking a secret side of the island. The curated selection of Indian street food and traditional bites was outstanding, with every stop perfectly paced and packed with authentic flavors.
What sets Ms. Pooi Ling apart is her exceptional warmth, fluency across multiple languages, and incredible cultural grounding. Sharing a Chinese heritage with her added a special layer of connection, making the conversation flow effortlessly as we explored how different cultures seamlessly blend in George Town's historic streets.

Die Tour hat sich gelohnt. Wir haben so in Little India verschiedene Sachen ausprobiert, die wir ohne Tour sicher nicht entdeckt hätten.

The guide was lovely and really sweet, and the group was great. I just wish the tour had covered more of Penang rather than focusing mainly on the Indian quarter. As someone already familiar with South Asian food and culture, it wasn’t particularly new for me, though I enjoyed tasting the different foods and walking around. Overall, I’d give it about 6.5/10.
