Tour description

Hello dear guests from our beautiful Uzbekistan!

In this tour program we will discover the main popular attractions of Samarkand🤩

Join me on an unforgettable tour of Samarkand, where history and culture come together in a unique experience!

Itinerary:
1. The Gur-e-Amir Mausoleum:
We'll begin our tour at the stunning Gur-e-Amir, the magnificent mausoleum of Tamerlane, the legendary conqueror. As we explore this grand site, I'll share captivating stories of Tamerlane's reign and the significance of this resting place, which still resonates with the power and grandeur of his empire.

2. Registan Square : We'll then walk to the famous Registan Square, the heart of Samarkand and a masterpiece of Islamic architecture. Here, you'll be amazed by three stunning madrasas with their intricate mosaics and towering minarets. I'll tell you about the history of this central square, where scientists and merchants once gathered, transforming it into a lively center of culture and knowledge.

3. Bibi Khanum Mosque : Just a few steps away, we'll visit the Bibi Khanum Mosque, once the jewel of Samarkand and one of the largest mosques in the Islamic world. I'll reveal the intriguing legend behind its construction, a story of love and ambition that has been passed down through generations. As you stand beneath its grand arches, you'll feel the weight of history and the beauty of this architectural marvel.

4. Siab Market (Siyob Bazar) :

Afterwards we will visit the Siab market, the largest and oldest in Samarkand.

It is a place full of life, colors, aromas and flavors, where locals buy fruits, bread, spices and traditional sweets.

The bazaar has existed since the days of the Silk Road, and is ideal for discovering the culture and daily life of the Uzbeks.

Visitors will be able to taste Samarkand's famous traditional bread and experience authentic local hospitality.

5. Shah-i-Zinda (last point of the tour):

Our last stop will be the Shah-i-Zinda necropolis, one of the most sacred and beautiful places in Samarkand.

We'll go to the entrance, and from outside I'll explain the history and architecture of this mausoleum complex.

I will tell you about its origin, the legend of Qusam ibn Abbas and the artistic details of the time of Tamerlane.

I won't be entering the necropolis with you; you're free to visit, enjoy the site, and take photographs.

The tour will end there, at Shah-i-Zinda.
