Welcome, walkers, to one of the most fascinating cities in Mexico! I am Eduardo, your guru guide and explorer of Mazatlán. I am passionate about the history of this city, inhabited by my ancestors, and I have spent over a decade exploring it with a curious eye and a tireless desire to discover its secrets. I trained in creative writing and have published tourist guides and historical studies on Mazatlán. I love unearthing forgotten stories and losing myself in its alleys until I find new icons and emblematic flavors. With years of experience in gastronomic tours, I know exactly where to find the best dishes and the most surprising corners. Forget the Mazatlán of postcards and prepare to discover a city full of history, mystery, and wonder. Prepare to forget the Mazatlán everyone knows and experience the awe of the legends hidden beneath the surface. Let's tell stories and write new ones while walking!

Tour description

We'll take a walking tour of Mazatlán's Historic District. I'll explain the current layout of the city, a result of the historical conditions that defined it during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

Of course, the tour will include iconic locations in Downtown Mazatlán, including:

  • The Pino Suárez Market
  • The Cathedral
  • The Machado Square
  • The Archaeological Museum
  • The Diver's Stone
  • The Olas Altas Boardwalk (end of the tour)

...But the heart of the tour happens in between, in its corners, stories, and places that are the true heritage of our city.

The tour lasts between 2 and 3 hours, with optional stops for tasting, shopping, and recreation/rest.

If you want to try the dishes offered by this tourist port, estimate spending 100-500 pesos (about 5-25 USD) per person, and another 100 pesos if you plan to take advantage of the opportunity to buy a souvenir.

Come and experience Mazatlán like you never imagined!
