Free walking tours in Mazatlan

Jose took us around to places that would benefit us the most to prepare us for our 4 week stay in Mazatlán. We loved the informative stop at the giant marketplace where we will be going many more times. I don’t think we would have known it was there! His stories about the history of Mazatlan really added to the excursion. Thank you Jose!

So glad we spent our one day in Matzatlan with Eduardo. Great storytelling putting historical events into a modern context. Tour was laid back and customized to the interests of the group. Had some amazing fresh clams and mackerel dip along the way. Learned a lot about Mazatlan (past and present) and had several good laughs. Very knowledgeable guide with a great sense of humor.

It was nice to learn the history of mazatlan. Enjoyed a lot the route mixed with historical spots + market + beautiful ocean area + tasty local food! Eduardo was friendly. Good walking and a lot of good recommendations! We just came to the rooftop he recommended - very pretty with yummy cocktail :)

Tour: Not only did Eduardo explain to us in great detail much of the history of Mazatlán & stories of famous landmarks (eg. architecture of the Cathedral) - but he also presented to us Mazatlán in a modern perspective, sharing with us the day-to-day town life (eg. the "unofficial" town plaza, eating pufferfish). the tour was enriched too with stops at a local cafe & pastry shop. overall, the tour made me feel like i got to experience Mazatlán as a local, not as a tourist. Eduardo: passionate tour guide. loves to learn about his guests. we had great conversations - he has great stories to tell! Eduardo also is adaptable, as he got to learn about us he catered the tour to our specific interests. overall: amazing tour, 10/10, i genuinely believe eduardo is fantastic & i wholeheartedly recommend him & his tours to anyone

Since I was the only person on the tour, it was not a typical experience. Eduardo did and said all the right things. But the highest accolade I can give to any guide in that situation is that he treated me as a friend. What more can you ask for?

Eduardo was easy to coordinate with and provided an engaging historical tour of Mazatlán. He offered a nice variety of historical and present day locations. He tailored our time specifically to our preferences. The pace was perfect - Eduardo was unrushed and set the tempo by continuously checking in with us.

We had a lovely and rich tour with José Eduardo in Mazatlan. He started by asking us what we were interested in and delivered on that. He proposed that we start earlier to skip the big heat. We learned lots of fun facts and infos about Mazatlan that gave us a better sense of where we are. It was filled with historical stories as well. Eduardo es genial!!! de verdad genial! ese día solo fuimos nosotros al tour y el con todo el profesionalismo nos atendió. Nos llevó con toda paciencia por lugares históricos, nos contó anécdotas, nos llevó a lugares turísticos y no turísticos pero muy interesantes, nos enseñó de historia, gastronomía, arquitectura, lugares para comer y cenar, miradores de la ciudad, nos ubicó como movernos y nos dió todos los tips y recomendaciones para pasar después el resto de los días visitanto y disfrutando. Al ser local además nos ayudó a ubicarnos y a pasarnosla increíble el resto del viaje. Es el mejor guía que hemos tenido en México!!!! Gracias Eduardo.

Hicimos el free tour y al final resultó ser prácticamente un tour privado, solo para mi mujer y para mí, y fue una experiencia fantástica. El guía fue muy profesional, cercano y apasionado por Mazatlán, adaptando el recorrido a nuestros intereses y explicándolo todo con mucho detalle y claridad. Aprendimos mucho sobre la historia, cultura y vida local, con anécdotas interesantes y recomendaciones muy útiles. El ritmo fue perfecto y en todo momento se notó que le gusta su trabajo y que se preocupa de que los visitantes disfruten de verdad. Sin duda, uno de los mejores tours que hemos hecho, totalmente recomendable para conocer Mazatlán de una forma auténtica. ¡Muchas gracias Jose Eduardo!

Nos comunicamos fácilmente, le había dicho que iríamos más personas de las previstas, y al final yo le quedé mal, pero aún así, nos dió el recorrido con gusto. Me gustó mucho su atención, y los conocimientos que compartió con nosotros durante el recorrido por la zona céntrica de Mazatlán; fué lo que esperaba. Felicidades Eduardo por tan linda labor.
