Whispers of the Enclave - Chinatown Darkest Night Walking Tour

The tour lasts 2 hours
Available in English

Description

When the sun sets, the glittering lanterns of Chinatown cast long, deceptive shadows. Beyond the restored shophouses and Michelin-starred food stalls lies a historical maze that the tourism brochures conveniently forgot. This isn't a tour about postcards and architecture. This is a mysterious invitation to step into the grit, vice, and forgotten underbelly of old Singapore.

The Experience

As the modern city quietens, we slip into the dim, claustrophobic grid of Chinatown's lesser-known alleys and ascend its highest, most secretive ridges. Under the cover of darkness, you will tread the exact paving stones where coolies, clansmen, and concubines lived and died on the fringes of survival. We’ll peel back the layers of Singapore's gritty past—an era fueled by vices that ran rampant through the narrow lanes.

What You'll Uncover

● The Sago Street Secrets: Explore the legacy of the infamous death houses

● The Crimson Alleys: Walk the forgotten red-light corners of Smith Street from a century ago,

● The Ghosts of Ann Siang Hill: Venture up the sloping lanes of what was once a sprawling, forgotten Chinese graveyard.

● Unsolved Riddles: Hear the lingering, spine-chilling urban legends and local paranormal accounts.

Note

1) The tour covers Moderate walking through dim, narrow spaces. Please wear comfortable walking shoes.

2) Mature themes. Recommended for ages 18 and above.

3) No video and audio recording is permitted for this event.
