Description

Let's Tour Cape Coast Township! 🌍🇬🇭

Welcome to the most authentic and immersive walking tour of Ghana's Central Region!

I'm Alfred - your passionate local guide, born and raised in the heart of Cape Coast. I don't just show you the sights - I bring them to life with stories, history, and culture that textbooks will never tell you.

🏰 CAPE COAST TOWNSHIP

Our journey takes you through the historic Cape Coast township - one of Ghana's oldest and most culturally rich cities. We walk through:

Cape Coast Castle - UNESCO World Heritage Site where millions of enslaved Africans passed through the infamous Door of No Return

Victoria Park - Cape Coast's historic central park

Philip Quaque Boys' School (est. 1765) - the "cradle of education" in West Africa, the first school in the region

Emintsimadze Palace - home of the King of Cape Coast, and other colonial-era buildings that tell the story of Ghana's past

British Military Cemetery (1824–1905) - honoring those from the Anglo-Ashanti wars

Fort William (Lighthouse) - breathtaking panoramic views of Cape Coast city and the Atlantic Ocean

Lemon Lounge Restaurant - taste authentic Ghanaian Jollof Rice and sweet, spicy Kelewele (fried plantains)

📍 Meeting Point: Pedu Junction - Total filing station ⛽, Cape Coast

⏱️ Duration: Approximately 2 to 4 hours

👟 What to bring: Comfortable walking shoes, water, sunscreen, and an open heart ready to be moved by history

💰 Note: Entrance fee for Cape Coast Castle is  (80–100 cedis per person).

Or join me for the Kakum National Park Canopy Walk - an amazing walk 30 metres above the rainforest floor.

Both make perfect follow-up day trips. Just ask me at the end of our walk together, and I'll help you plan it!
