Free Walking Tours at Marrakesh

Great tour, showed a different side and understanding of the medina and the culture of the people.

One of the highlights of our short time in Marrakech. Maaffar guided us through a number of authentic and delicious local spots with extremely reasonable prices. He was able to tailor the spots to our tastes so for example we included a grilled sardine place as well as fresh doughnut bakery favored by locals. What sets this tour apart is that Maaffar pulled back the curtain on the tourism industry in Marrakech: most tours and guides will steer you the touristy places with vastly inflated (albeit still reasonable by western standards) prices and an inauthentic experience. He was able to teach us what the locals pay and what authentic tagine, tangia, and couscous look like. Shoutout to El Diablo

This tour was SOOO MUCH MORE than expected. There were history lessons, culture exposures, deep, resonating chats, and of course DELICIOUS FOODS!! I highly recommend as Houcine is not only very knowledgeable and connected, he seems to be the man in the streets. Check his other tours and live the life of a true Moroccan traveler.

It was such a pleasure to listen to Mohammed’s story’s and information about Marrakech. He knows a lot of the history of the city and the culture. And his English is perfect! If you are in Marrakech I would recommend you to join his tour!

When I visit city's. A walking tour is a must do for me. My boyfriend (who joined as well) is less familiar with guided tours. However we both loved it! There was enough information. But also time to take pictures, ask questions,... We were not planning to do a hammam but after the explenation we booked one. Also the lunch/diner recommendations were very good! If you are still considering, don't and just join.

Taking the city tour in Marrakech was one of the best decisions of our trip! Mohamed was an excellent tour guide, he shared the history of Marrakech and gave us insights on the lives on locals including his own! He answered all our questions (we had a lot), and always found shade for us to stop at. He was so flexible and an overall kind and eloquent guide. Shukrah!
