Emmanuel is fantastic: full of local knowledge, he explained the history of James Town and Old Accra in a fun and interesting way. He taught us greetings in the Ga dialect which we used whilst on the tour, he told us what to expect and made us feel very comfortable. Emmanuel also went above and beyond when we asked for his help finding a tailor - after the tour had finished he took us to a local seamstress, made sure we got a fair price, AND arranged for a courier to deliver to item to our hotel the next day. Oyewalladon Emmanuel! Advice for customers: bring water and wear comfortable shoes.

We enjoyed the tour of the Makola Market, Kweku shared with us the history of Ghana, Accra, and the market. He also took us to the different areas if this huge market so that we could buy things we wanted. We would definitely recommend this tour!

Emmanuel had a deep level of knowledge of Jamestown and all the history of it. We visited many different places and met many of the local people on the tour. We didn't see any fishing as advertised and the walk was 4hr 30mins rather than 2hr 30mins as I was told. Overall I would highly recommend doing the tour with Emmanuel.

Es war super spannend mehr über die Ga-People zu erfahren. Emmanuel ist selbst Teil der Community und es ist schön diese Identifikation zu erfahren. Für einen Tour-Guide hätte ich mir manchmal etwas mehr Rollenklarheit gewünscht im Sinne von einer professionellen Distanz in bestimmten Situationen. Für meine Teenager-Tochter war es zum Beispiel eher unangenehm, dass sie irgendwelchen Männern die Hand geben sollte und diese dann sehr den Körperkontakt gesucht haben.

What a fantastic your significantly better than I expected. Emmanuel made James town come alive in ways I didn’t expect. We talked through how the community works, its chief system, it’s sacred places, it’s boxing traditions, it’s unique food, it’s history and roots, and even voodoo. This was skillful weaved into a very interactive and engaging walk. Well explained, great information, even allowing us to interact with the community. I’ve done many city tours around the world, this one was unique in walking away with a much deeper understanding of the cultural and community. A great day out highly recommended!
