Hi everyone! My name is Kasia — it’s so nice to meet you, and welcome to the tour. Before we begin, I’d love to say a few words about myself. I’m originally from Poland, born and raised here in Kraków. I spent several years living in London, where I worked mainly in tourism-related fields — gastronomy, hospitality, and even in a museum. I graduated from Middlesex University in London with a degree in International Tourism Management. While studying, I discovered the idea of free walking tours, and I absolutely loved it. Even back then, I dreamed of becoming a tour guide. My tutors and friends often told me I had a natural way with people and a real passion for sharing stories. Still, I decided to first build my professional experience in the hotel industry. Tourism and connecting with travelers have always been very close to my heart. That’s one of the reasons I spent so much time abroad — to learn languages, experience different cultures, and meet people from all over the world. I also love travelling myself. At one point, I lived in Spain, near Barcelona, in a town called Sant Cugat del Vallès, where I worked in the automotive industry for about seven months. When I moved back to Poland — I truly amazed by how much the country has changed and how quickly it’s developing. I started reading more, exploring my surroundings, and attending history classes. Kazimierz has always been a very special place for me, and during the tour, you’ll understand why. Before we start, just a quick note about the tour format. This is a donation-based tour, which means you decide the value of the experience at the end. Free tours don't have a fixed price. At the end, each person contributes to the guide the amount they consider fair based on their satisfaction. As a guideline, Guruwalk recommends between €15 and $50 per participant.
