Tashkent Uncovered: Metro, Monuments & Memories
Our tour begins in the heart of Tashkent, right near Hotel Uzbekistan, one of the most iconic examples of Soviet architecture. We'll take a moment to admire this unique building before continuing to Amir Temur Square to see the statue of Amir Temur, a national symbol of strength and leadership.
From there, we’ll explore some of the most beautiful metro stations in Tashkent, known for their ornate, museum-like designs.
Next, we’ll visit the only historical palace in Tashkent — the 19th-century residence of Grand Duke Nikolai Konstantinovich Romanov.
After that, we’ll head to Independence Square, the largest and most symbolic public space in Uzbekistan. Here, we’ll visit the World War II memorial, where you'll see the Eternal Flame, the statue of the Grieving Mother, and the Golden Book of Remembrance, which honors fallen Uzbek soldiers.
We’ll then continue to the Monument of Courage, dedicated to the victims and heroes of the devastating 1966 Tashkent earthquake.
Finally, we’ll end our tour at Tashkent City Park, a modern and relaxing area where you can enjoy local cafés, beautiful landscaping, and a vibrant atmosphere.
🎟️ Metro fare is covered by me as a bonus!
