Discover a different side of Cape Town on this inspiring walking tour through Woodstock and Salt River, two of the city's most creative and vibrant neighbourhoods. Together we'll explore colourful streets, hidden corners, and world-class murals while uncovering the stories, people, and communities that have helped shape these areas into one of Africa's leading street art destinations.

Along the route you'll see more than 50 public artworks created by both internationally recognised artists and talented local creatives such as Sunnysundancer, Mak1one, and Petra Vonk. Learn how art has transformed former industrial spaces into open-air galleries, while discovering the messages behind the murals and the powerful stories they tell about identity, culture, community, and social change.

We'll also visit inspiring community projects that are making a positive impact in the area, including youth development, education, and performance programmes. Along the way you'll gain insight into local life, discover community stories and local perspectives, and see how creativity continues to create opportunities and bring people together in Woodstock and Salt River.

From local heroes and cultural traditions to wildlife conservation, District Six, the Cape Minstrels, and Nelson Mandela's legacy, every artwork tells a story.
