Enjoy Key West with Javier Home Cartaya
Tour description
You're invited to discover Key West and its rich history by visiting its historic sites: starting at Memorial Park, the Shipwreck Museum, walking through the Old Town area, the White House, and Winter Truman's house; having a drink at Sloppy Joe's Bar; walking along Duval Street, visiting various art galleries in the area; the San Carlos Center, where you can learn about the history of Cuba in Key West; visiting the Butterfly House, Hemingway's house, the Lighthouse, and the southeasternmost point, where the "90 Miles to Cuba" marker is located. With good luck, on a very clear day, you can see the Cuban coast.
There are many beaches in Key West, and my favorite is Dog Beach, where Luis Bar Yard is located. You can enjoy a peaceful view of the ocean and beach while sipping on one of the pleasant cocktails offered; then visit the botanical gardens; and have lunch at any of the pleasant restaurants in the area.
Then, we can take the train around Key West to see all the interesting and beautiful places Key West has to offer. Head back down to the Old Port, and if you're able to continue, you'll take the ghost train, which will take you through the history of pirates and their ghosts.
All of this will be up to you: we can stop whenever you like or continue as you wish, visiting the different boats in Key West, enjoying the music wherever live bands are playing. Key West is a place to enjoy: beautiful architecture, gardens, and homes where the flora and fauna are respected and coexist perfectly.
*Each traveler must pay their entrance fee to the museums (around 20 USD).
