Hi, my name is Laura. I was born in Eindhoven and all my life, I have lived close to Eindhoven. I went to school here and as a teenager, I came here to go shopping and explored the city center in Eindhoven. This special and amazing city continues to captivate and surprise me. I love history, monuments, green spaces and food. I'd love to show you the best places that make Eindhoven unique.

Tour description

Discover Eindhoven in an intimate setting with a local who has lived there all her life. This small-group experience is limited to a maximum of 5 guests, allowing for genuine interaction, thoughtful conversations and a pace that suits you.

Who sped up innovation in the twentieth century? How did a modest town grow into one of the world’s leading innovation hubs? Who were the visionaries behind this transformation? And how did Eindhoven earn its nickname as the city of light? During this walk, you will uncover the stories behind the people and ideas that shaped Eindhoven - and continue to shape our future.

Unlike large group tours, this experience feels more like exploring the city with a knowledgeable local friend. With only a few participants, there is plenty of space for your questions, personal interests and spontaneous discoveries along the way. Every tour is slightly different and tailored to the group.

As we walk through the heart of Eindhoven, you will meet the family that put the city on the global map. Learn how their innovations changed everyday life for millions of people worldwide - quite possibly including yours. Discover how resilience during wartime, bold entrepreneurship and forward-thinking design transformed Eindhoven into the creative and technological hub it is today.

Along the way, you will see:

  • the most iconic landmark of Eindhoven
  • 18 September Square
  • Philips museum
  • Catharinakerk
  • Stratumseind
  • hidden gems you might otherwise miss

The tour ends just a few minutes from the starting point. Afterwards, I will happily share my favourite local spots for food, coffee and souvenirs, as well as recommendations for things to do in and around the city.

This tour is perfect for curious travellers who value quality over quantity and prefer a more personal alternative to large group tours.

I look forward to welcoming you in Eindhoven!

If your preferred time or language is not listed, feel free to make a booking and send me a message afterwards. I may be able to offer an alternative time. Tours can also be provided in German and Dutch.
