Free Tour of the Center and Jewish Quarter of Córdoba with a local guide
Tour description
We begin our visit in the central Plaza de las Tendillas, where our guide will welcome you and give a brief introduction to what we're about to discover: the Jewish Quarter of Córdoba, one of the city's most representative and visited historic neighborhoods.
From there, we embark on a walking tour through streets full of history and charm:
The Calleja del Pañuelo, one of the narrowest and most curious corners of the city.
The Calleja de las Flores, with its flower-filled walls and unique views of the tower of the Mosque-Cathedral.
Hoguera Street, a journey into the past where we discover the urban planning of a medieval Islamic city.
Cardenal Salazar Square, the heart of the Jewish Quarter, is home to the current Faculty of Philosophy and Letters, as well as our favorite ophthalmologist.
Municipal Souk, where local artisans still work and where you can learn about Córdoba's artisanal legacy.
We end the tour at Almodóvar Gate, an old entrance to the city and one of the best places to understand what walled Córdoba was like. From here, you can continue exploring on your own with a different perspective, already learning the secrets these streets hold.
