Visit the colorful Artists' Village
Tour description
Since I spent all my life in Szentendre, I would be really happy to share this beautiful city with you!
I know all the little secrets of this town, including the best lángos, ice cream and beer, or the most unique art! :)
If you mix Prague Old Town with a little bit of Italy, you get Szentendre.
It is no coincidence that it is called the 'Artists Village'. The charming Old Town with it's colorful buildings and architecture, cobbled streets, river views and vibrant cultural life - perfect inspiration for artists (and visitors)!
My tour includes:
- Main square (with the colorful umbrellas)
- Blagovestenska Church (a beautiful Baroque–Rococo Greek-Orthodox church)
- Belgrade Cathedral (featuring a dramatic red tower and rich Baroque interiors)
- Castle Hill & Church of St. John the Baptist (a historic hilltop site with remnants of a medieval fortress and a great lookout to the town)
- Marzipan Museum (very talented Hungarian artists can make anything from marzipan)
- Christmas Museum (operating all year)
- river bank with atmospheric view
- On the way, we will see many museums and galleries feauting hungarian artists and painters. The city is full of unique art, ceramics, and anything art related.
- Local souvenir shops will offer you reasonable prices for their art. Do not be shy to look around and shop!
Book the tour if you want a fun escape into this atmospheric, medieval little town, that is my home town!
