Our walking tour is a relaxed and friendly journey through some of central İzmir’s most loved streets, squares, cultural landmarks, and seaside views. Along the way, we share stories from the city’s past, offer a glimpse into everyday life in İzmir, and introduce you to the places, traditions, and flavors that make our city so special.

We begin at Kültürpark and continue through Sevgi Yolu, Karaca Cinema, Cumhuriyet Square, Kordon, and the lively streets of Alsancak. During the walk, we chat about İzmir’s history, art, culture, local lifestyle, and connection with the sea. We also share personal recommendations for cafés, bars, restaurants, and places you may enjoy during the rest of your stay.

Food is one of our favorite ways to experience a city, so you will also have the opportunity to taste some beloved local specialties. Depending on availability, these may include İzmir’s most famous; midye dolma (rice stuffed mussels so please let us know if you have a seafood allergy!) , boyoz (a salty flaky pastry) , and bomba (a lovely chocolate treat).

The atmosphere is friendly and conversational, with plenty of time to ask questions, exchange stories, and enjoy İzmir at a comfortable pace. We created this experience to make visitors feel as though they are exploring the city with two local friends.

The walking tour is free to join. Guests simply cover the cost of any food or drinks they choose to try, so we recommend bringing some local cash in Turkish Lira.
