Museums and Landmark Sites in Downtown Mexico City

The tour lasts 2 hours and 30 minutes
Available in German, English and Spanish

Description

Discover the heart of Mexico City from a local perspective.
Experience the social dynamics of the city center by walking through its streets and visiting both typical and alternative sites.
We will see iconic places such as the Alameda Central and its surroundings; the Palace of Fine Arts, the Humboldt statue, the Museum of Memory and Tolerance, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Museum of Popular Art.
We will continue through Chinatown towards the old town: we will appreciate the ruins of the Templo Mayor, the National Palace, the Zócalo, the Metropolitan Cathedral, and the Gran Hotel Mexico (with its French architecture and use of stained glass).
We will proceed to the old university district, where we will see the College of San Ildefonso, the Mexican Society of Geography and Statistics (the first scientific society in America), the Academy of San Carlos, and the old Academy of Jurisprudence.
We will reach the National Museum of Art and the Palace of Mining, and we will end the tour on Madero Street, near the Latin American Tower.
This tour is ideal for locating some of the most interesting museums in the city center.
