Description

The Best Way to Discover the Most Authentic Seville

If you have already visited Seville's major monuments or want to discover the city from a completely different perspective, this tour through Triana is a must. Because Triana is not just a neighborhood, it is the essence of Seville

In just an hour and a half, we will cross the historic Isabel II Bridge (Triana Bridge) to enter a place with its own personality, where universal flamenco artists, great bullfighters, prestigious ceramists, and some of the city's most deep-rooted traditions were born.

At first glance, Triana may seem like a quiet neighborhood full of local life today. But without a guide, much of its history goes unnoticed. Its streets hide centuries of art, devotion, navigation, legends, and episodes that forever marked the history of Seville. It's not just a walk. It's a living experience: Triana told as only a local can do it.

🏛 The Tour
We will start next to the Triana Bridge (Isabel II Bridge), the gateway to the neighborhood. From there, we will reach the Plaza del Altozano, the heart of Triana and a meeting point for generations of residents. We will walk along the emblematic Pureza Street to learn about the neighborhood's deep devotion by visiting the Chapel of the Sailors, home of the Esperanza de Triana. We will continue along Rodrigo de Triana Street, discovering the neighborhood's close relationship with navigation and the discovery of America.

But Triana is, above all, art

During the walk, we will discover why this neighborhood is considered the cradle of flamenco, land of great singers and dancers, and we will learn about the work of institutions like the Cristina Heeren Foundation to keep this universal tradition alive.

We will also talk about another of Triana's great passions: bullfighting. Triana saw the birth of some of the most important bullfighting dynasties in Spain and became one of the great references in the bullfighting world for centuries.

Our tour will continue along the traditional Alfarería Street. Through the Montalvan Hotel, we will understand the enormous importance of Triana's ceramic production, whose tiles and artistic pieces decorate buildings all over the world today.

One of the most impactful moments of the tour will come when discovering the history of the old Castle of San Jorge and the Inquisition Tribunal, whose headquarters were located in Triana. We will learn about some of the darkest episodes in Seville's history and how the Inquisition left a deep mark on the neighborhood.

We will finish next to the Triana Market and the Plaza del Altozano, the perfect place to continue enjoying the local atmosphere, taste Sevillian cuisine, or keep exploring the neighborhood at your own pace.

It's an outdoor tour. You will discover Triana. You will understand its soul.
