Central Tokyo Classic: Running Experience
Tour description
Discover Central Tokyo on a free running tour designed for travelers who want to experience Japanese history, culture, and iconic landmarks in an active and unique way.
The tour begins at Tokyo Station (Marunouchi side), where we start with a brief introduction to the area and modern Tokyo’s development. From there, we run toward the Imperial Palace, following one of the most famous running routes in Japan while I share stories about Edo Castle, the shogunate era, and the symbolic role of the Emperor today.
We then continue toward the government district and visit Hie Shrine, a historic shrine that once protected Edo Castle and today stands close to Japan’s political center. Along the way, I share insights about Japanese traditions, daily life in Tokyo, and how the city blends old and new so seamlessly.
The tour is relaxed-paced, interactive, and perfect for travelers who want to stay active while exploring the city beyond the typical tourist experience.
