Victoria is enthusiastic and passionate guide. I enjoyed learning about the civil war in Spain from her tour. I thought the information she presented was thought through and the route of the tour was also interesting. I do recommend this tour to others.

It was amazing doing this tour with Victoria. She is just a great storyteller and you can see she loves sharing the story of the civil war. She also brings some personal stories about her family related to the conflict that lights it up. I definitely recommend doing a tour with her. Not everyone manages to bring such a deep insight of the war without entering into political opinions, which I find hard but necessary at the same time. Thank you Victoria ❤️😊🥰

Victoria’s Spanish Civil War tour was a true highlight of our trip to Madrid. I attended with my husband and we were joined by another couple. All of us were equally impressed by her depth of knowledge, clarity, and passion for the subject. It was clear early on that Victoria is an expert. Her understanding of the Spanish Civil War is exceptional, and she presented it through a clear, engaging narrative that brought the history vividly to life at a very ideal pace/tempo. The visual materials she used—maps, photographs, timelines and historical documents—added important context and made the experience far richer than a standard walking tour. It genuinely felt like having a personal historian guiding us through Madrid. What also stood was her personal family history connection to the topic, which was really interesting. The stories and anecdotes she shared made the history feel tangible and human, and her respect for the people and events of the period was evident throughout. She also did an excellent job of placing the Spanish Civil War within its broader international setting, clearly explaining how it influenced and foreshadowed the events of the Second World War. Her English was flawless, and her delivery was clear and engaging throughout. She connected political, historical, and cultural threads, giving us a nuanced and well-rounded understanding of the conflict. The pacing of the walk itself was excellent as well: we saw all the key sites without feeling exhausted. Information on the Spanish Civil War is surprisingly hard to find (no dedicated museum) and tours are rare, despite it being such an integral part of the nation’s history. For that reason alone, this experience is a must-do. If you’re considering booking a tour with Victoria, we couldn’t recommend it more highly.
