Coastal Walkers ~ ¡Enjoy the Coast & Stay Active!

Discover the beauty of the Basque Coast on foot, following the scenic route from Sopelana to Getxo during the golden hours of sunset.🌅 

Enjoy the endless blue horizon of the Cantabrian Sea, natural beaches, and the sculpted layers of the Getxo flysch as they glow in the warm evening light. This walk is perfect for travelers who love staying active while exploring scenic landscapes, capturing sunset photo moments, and sharing the experience with others. 

Details:
• Difficulty: Easy to moderate, suitable for physically active walkers who enjoy exploring new places on foot.
• Tips: Comfortable shoes are essential, and bring a water bottle (two potable water points along the route).
• Transport: We will take the metro/subway from Bilbao to the coast. The price for a single one-way ticket to Sopelana (Zone 3) is approximately 2.15 €.
• Duration: The total time, starting from and returning to Bilbao, is around 3,45 hours, including a few stops for for photos and to admire the views. If everyone feels like it, we’ll also enjoy a short refreshment break in the area before heading back.
• Cancellation: The coastal weather can change quickly, so for your safety, the walk may be cancelled at the last moment if conditions aren’t suitable.
