Old Town Dragons: a Bestiary of El Gòtic

Ever wonder why Barcelona has so many dragons? There's even more of them than you may think! This free walking tour will reveal the dragons, mythic beasts, and other creatures both prominent and hidden throughout Barcelona's Gothic Quarter.

Your guide will reveal to you what these creatures are; discuss why they're here & there throughout the city; explain who put them there, when; and ultimately convey what they mean to Catalans, from the Middle Ages through to today.

Discover the beasts of:

  • Plaça de Sant Jaume
  • Casa dels Canonges
  • Plaça Reial
  • Palau Güell
  • Casa Bruno Cuadros
  • Els Quatre Gats
  • Casa dels Entremesos
  • Basílica de Santa Maria del Mar
  • Castell dels Tres Dragons
  • Cascada del Parc de la Ciutadella

Plus all the other cool bits of El Gòtic you'll see along the way!
